Join the OAHN Equine Team!

We have an opening!!

The Ontario Animal Health Network equine team is currently seeking a veterinarian active in equine practice in Central or Northern Ontario to join our team. No experience required!  While an interest in infectious diseases and networking with veterinary colleagues are certainly assets, a positive attitude and good communication skills are all you really need.

The OAHN equine network currently meets four times a year (via zoom), usually on a weekday evening (7-9) for about 90-120 minutes.  The time commitment on a monthly basis is minimal, but there are opportunities to contribute more to network projects and initiatives if desired, and practitioner team members are compensated for their time.

If you are interested in participating on the OAHN equine network team (and we hope you are!), or if you’d like to find out more about joining our team, please contact us at oahn@uoguelph.ca.

Since 2014, the Ontario Animal Health Network (OAHN) has provided the opportunity for Ontario veterinarians and veterinary staff to share their clinical impressions several times a year through our easy 5-minute online survey.  This survey, combined with laboratory and research data and input from veterinary specialists right here in Ontario, helps OAHN monitor infectious diseases in equine across the province, and provide this information back to veterinarians and their staff. Communication – in both directions – is at the core of what OAHN does.  The more veterinarians are willing and able to share with respect to disease and welfare issues they’re seeing in their respective regions, the clearer the picture of equine health in Ontario we can provide, and the better we can connect you to resources and research to help protect the health of your patients, clients, staff, our local ecosystems, and beyond.
